Pregnancy and Nursing

    Pregnant donors are not eligible to donate. There is also a six-month waiting period after giving birth before you may become eligible to donate.
    If you are breastfeeding, you are not eligible to donate during the first six months after giving birth.

    If you have had a miscarriage or termination of pregnancy, you must wait six-weeks before you are eligible to donate. If you received an Rh immune globulin injection during your pregnancy, such as WinRho, you must wait six months before donating.

    If you are considering donating plasma, call blood bank.
